Perchè questo nome? Forse perchè i confini da attraversare e superare sono parte di me. Confini fisici, come quello che taglia la città in cui sono nata e cresciuta, Gorizia, o quello che sta per separare il paese che più amo e conosco dopo l'Italia, ovvero il Sudan. Ma anche confini mentali, quelli tra discipline e professioni o tra lingue, religioni e idee diverse. Nella convinzione che un confine non debba diventare un muro di separazione ma un'occasione di scambio, contaminazione, conoscenza.
Why this name? Maybe because crossing and overcoming borders is part of me. Geographical borders, like the one that cuts my hometown, Gorizia, or the one which will soon separate the country I love and know most besides Italy, i.e. Sudan. But also mental borders, borders between subjects and professions or between different languages, religions and ideas. In the belief that a border should not be a reason for division, but an opportunity for exchange, contamination, knowledge.
